WILD FARM

What is a Wild Farm?

In contrast to a conventional farm that has crops from a seed catalog, control with tillers, irrigation, and chemicals - shift your mindset to a wild farm: keep the land and change the definition of a crop. Why can’t a weed be a crop? A wild farm’s crops are plants that grow naturally on the land or closely replicated that would grow there, if allowed. The wild farm has no structures for irrigation, large-scale machinery, greenhouses, cover fabrics, mulch, fertilizers, or tilling. Light management of these “crops” affords us the ability to make wild plants available to a larger audience and at the same time enhancing soil quality and biodiversity.
